Csaba Koncz's (born in 1938, Rábakecöl,Hungary) oeuvre has a special place in the history of Hungarian progressive photography. Next to photography, he has always been interested in film, music, poetry and Eastern philosophy. Before he left Hungary in 1967 and wandered the world as a hippie, Koncz had been active in the field of photography between 1962 and 1967 - his works are of high quality adopting a nonfigurative approach and resemble the aesthetics of Arte Povera.
